My name is Craig Gaulzetti and I am an Account Executive here at Seven Cycles. I live bikes. I have spent my entire adult life save a brief spell that was engulfed with higher education and the requisite ephemera, firmly engulfed in them in one way or another. When I moved to Europe, the bicycle was my way of dealing with my adolescence, forming an identity, learning a language or two and becoming ‘me’. Since then, I have spent the better part of the last twenty years thinking about, designing, building and getting people on bicycles.
I have a healthy fetish for useful things and I believe that the most adequate item needn’t possess the compromises that industry often demands of commodities that masquerade as tools or art or lunch or any other thing man uses to make his life. For this, and the fact they simply make the world a far better and more magical place- I love bikes.
While I am new here at Seven Cycles, I already feel part of a community who shares my values and passions. A rigorous desire to not compromise on the things that really matter and to get folks on bikes that meet and exceed their needs wants and wishes is manifested in everything we do here. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of.
When I am not thinking about, talking about, selling, designing or riding bicycles I am probably drinking beer, playing bad rock and roll, messing about with cars or motorcycles, or reading books by Denis Johnson or Theodore Adorno. I am comfortable in many places and around many things- but I feel most at home when surrounded with the very high-brow or the very low-brow. I’m not really about unnecessary compromise. I try to always be learning, brave and full of wonder.
