Here are the component details.

The Matador Gravel Fork

Without a doubt, the best gravel fork on the market. Don’t trust us, trust the other custom builders who source the Matador from us. Here are a few of the highlights that make it so popular:

  • The most consistent and predictable handling carbon gravel fork available. Most gravel forks take their handling cues from road forks, but that doesn’t really make sense, since off-road speeds are lower and handling accuracy is so much more important. At 395mm tall with a rake of 5.5cm, the Matador is optimized for off-road frame geometry and handling. Most forks tend to jackknife in tight corners, or the bike will fight you to get into a corner. The Matador is designed to enter and exit corners smoothly at all speeds. That predictability makes you faster (and safer).
  • Dual wheel sizes, excellent tire clearance: Designed to work well with both 700c and 650b wheel sizes. The maximum recommended tire size with good clearance is 700 x 45 mm knobby. For a 650b wheel the max tire is a 53 mm knobby — or a 2.1” mountain bike tire! When we talk about tire clearance we’re usually talking about enough room that if you break a spoke you can still roll.
  • Less toe overlap: We can’t promise you’ll have no toe overlap, but the Matador, and its longer rake provides better clearance than any other carbon fork out there. While some riders might be concerned about the perceived tradeoff that a longer front center, or longer wheelbase, entails, don’t worry. The wheelbase gain is less than 1% on an average size bike. Any possible perceived difference is more than overshadowed by the improved and balanced handling resulting from the better rake.
  • Low(er) trail: One of the many benefits of Seven’s design is that, compared to just about every other carbon fork on the market, the Matador produces lower trail. By no means is this a 'low trail' fork but the lower-than-average trail it offers produces some aspects (e.g. stability, a “lift” out of turns at higher speeds) of what some riders look for in a low trail bike.
  • Plays nice with handlebar bags: The low-ish trail mitigates the handling effects of the added weight of a handlebar feed bag or larger bar bag.
  • Integrated fender mounts: They’re integrated, so the fork looks race ready when you’re not fendered up.
  • External brake hose routing: If you ride a lot, in all conditions — like any avid gravel rider — a brake system that’s easy to service is a nice detail. Seven’s Matador foregoes the popular internal routing for more serviceable external zip guides.

Seven Gravel Handlebar

Graphite Gravel Handlebars

We have built Sevens with every handlebar under the sun, but after riding thousands of hours on trails, on dozens of bars, we come back to our favorite again and again, the one we designed ourselves. It may look a simple compared to some of the handlebars on the market these days, but it meets all the demands of gravel and mixed-terrain riding better than anything else on the market. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best one. Here are a few of the things that make it work so well:

  • A wide, straight section for good, upfront hand hold
  • Tight bends for comfortable palm placement
  • A short reach from straights to hoods, and a short drop for easy access to aero positions
  • No outward sweep for trails, where things can get narrow
  • Made of bulletproof aluminum, more durable than carbon, and better wear for those using bar bags
  • Just the right amount of flex for plushness, not too stiff like so many carbon bars
  • Three widths to fit your setup – wider for gravel and mixed-terrain

Seven Gravel Stem

Just like our bar, we can have any design we want. We’ve come to love the unique design of the Seven gravel stem. Here are just a few of the highlights:

  • Aluminum is tough - no fragile carbon for trail riding.
  • Reverse bolt clamping: Lighter, stronger, more secure
  • Seven faceplate - super tough machined from billet
  • Ovalized 3D forged body for light weight, stiffness and strength
  • Designed to mate perfectly with our handlebar

Seven Gravel Seat Post

We like titanium best as a seatpost material because it offers a compliance that no other material can match. On the trail, the added comfort isn’t just about how your body feels. It also affects your ability to handle the bike in tight spaces and over rough terrain. Here’s what’s great about this post:

  • Durable: Our titanium is as tough as a material gets. It can take any abuse.
  • Compliant or stiff: We can deliver specific comfort based on tube choice.
  • Saddlebag friendly: We’ve seen carbon posts wear through were saddle bags are strapped. Titanium is too tough to wear.
  • 27.2 mm or 30.9 mm diameters: Two diameters to choose.
  • Custom: Any length. Each post is custom triple butted to the exact length you want.
  • Long service life: Endless fatigue cycles — we’ve never broken one with our fatigue tester.
  • Saddle clamp: Super tough, simple, easy to micro-adjust, our clamp just works, in any conditions and forever. We’re not trying to make the lightest post. We’re making a post that won’t fail 60 miles into your off-road century.

Limited Edition Decal Set

Special Graphite Gravel decals on the fork, stem, post, bar, and frame, each in Seven’s Mondo design — oversize pressed outline decals — big, but subtle. Graphite metallic matte on the matte black parts and reflective gloss black on the titanium parts, a great balance of visibility with subtle good looks.

If you prefer our handpicked group set and faster delivery of our three curated offerings, read on.

Evergreen S with SRAM Rival 22

Seven’s Evergreen S is an amazing and unique bike — not just within Seven’s line. It’s unlike any other bike on the market. The Evergreen S offers Seven’s full palette of customization possibilities, it’s all titanium, handmade in-house at Seven, boasts the toughest, most durable frame on the trails, and it’s priced about a third lower than bikes of similar quality and specification. We don’t think there’s any other bike that offers this set of features.

Who is the Evergreen S the right bike for? Put this bike on your shortlist if:

  • You do a lot of short punchy climbing. If you want the stiffest drivetrain that Seven or anyone else offers, the S is the right model for you.
  • Durability is most important. If you tend to break stuff, there is simply no tougher frame on the market. We guarantee it.
  • You ride in really tough or harsh conditions. On tough trails, in extreme weather conditions, the toughness of the S will shine.
  • You’re a big rider. This frame can be stiffer than any other bike we build. In fact, the S can be stiffer than any other bike in the market regardless of material. We guarantee it. Also, the disc brakes work better because the mounting surface — the dropouts and chainstays — are stiffer than any other bike we build.
  • You’re a really strong rider putting a lot of watts into the bike. The S pushes back and gets every watt to the rear wheel.
  • You carry a lot of equipment or gear. Touring, bikepacking, adventure rides. Because the frameset is easy to build to be stiff, the S can handle any amount of gear when we design for that. We have Evergreen S bikes out in the world that have done the Silk Road with 70 lbs of gear front and rear.
  • You travel with your bike. Because the S has the toughest tube set it will handle the worst abuse any airline can dish out. We guarantee it.
  • You prefer crisp, predictable handling. Because the S tends to be a bit stiffer, on average, the front end handling of the bike tends to be crisper than any other bike. This doesn’t mean the handling is quicker, unless that’s what you want. It means consistent and predictable at all speeds and in all conditions.
  • You have a well-planned budget. If you’re looking for a way to get the best value out of every dollar, the Evergreen S is the right frameset for you. Adding the SRAM Rival kit is a perfect match.

Of course, since every Seven is fully customizable — including the Evergreen S — we can mitigate or accentuate any of the features we’ve listed. Stiffer or plusher. Quicker handling or more stable. Ready to race or raring to bikepack. Whatever you want, the Evergreen S does it at the right price.

Why the SRAM Rival 22 group set?

  • It may be the best value per dollar of any high-end build kit. It’s very light, it’s durable, and it provides good lever ergonomics.
  • Lightweight: The Rival 22 group set is a little lighter (in most configurations) than Shimano Ultegra R8000, and that’s pretty impressive. It’s easy to build an average size Evergreen S Rival bike in the 17.5 lbs weight range.
  • Durable at any price. Rival is as tough as any of the higher-end SRAM build kits.
  • It’s a good choice for people with smaller hands because the brake hoods are smaller than most Shimano hoods.
  • Cable-actuated disc brakes are light and easy to maintain.
  • The crank set is aluminum which makes it more durable for tough trail riding.

Other parts of note:

  • Wheels: HED Ardennes GP Disc — A bulletproof wheelset for a bulletproof bike. HED’s legendary Ardennes rims at 25mm wide take tires up to 58mm. They’re tubeless ready, and strike a perfect balance between on trail comfort and ultimate performance.
  • Tires: Clement MSO 40mm — An adventure tire designed for mixed conditions. The combination of smooth-rolling center knobs and aggressive shoulder lugs provide great traction and durability for gravel roads, trails, cyclocross, urban assault and even pavement.

Of course because Seven customizes everything, this bike is available with Shimano and Campagnolo group sets, too, or with a different Rival kit, or a 1x drivetrain, or whatever you prefer. Just ask.

Evergreen SL with Shimano Ultegra 8000
With Mechanical Shifting and Hydraulic Brakes

Seven’s Evergreen SL is our flagship gravel bike, the bike that made the category. Based on the decades-long lineage of our double-butted titanium frames, The Evergreen SL takes Seven’s customization capabilities one step further, diving beneath the frame’s surface to fine tune ride characteristics through advanced tube butting techniques. The SL produces a more refined off-road ride. We’re picking tubing specifically for you, and then modifying it to an exacting standard. The result is stiff drivetrain for sharp acceleration coupled to a shock-absorbing front end that makes the Evergreen SL a top-performer on fire roads, double track, gravel path and single-track alike.

Why would I want the Evergreen SL over any other bike? Put this bike on your shortlist if:

  • You do a lot of long varied climbing. The SL’s lightweight double-butted tubing makes the process of long, mixed efforts more comfortable, letting you climb faster and arrive at the top fresher for the road ahead.
  • Performance is most important. If you’re looking for that perfect balance between speed and the all-day comfort that lets you give your best, the SL finds it for you.
  • You’re a rouleur who likes to ride hard in the flats, go for it on climbs, and descend like a roller coaster on rails. The SL works with you in all terrain because of the bike’s balance of performance and lightweight.
  • You go far and value a bike that lets your body give its best all day, and again the next day.
  • You might want to carry some equipment or gear, even if your main purpose is going far or going fast. Touring, bikepacking, and adventure rides are all possible, because the frameset is customizable to include rack and/or fender mounts. The SL can be your go-fast group ride bike and your daily commuter. It can take on gravel races or weekend backroads tours.
  • You travel with your bike. The SL’s titanium tubing will stand up to the rigors of boxing, flying, assembling, riding and returning. We guarantee it.
  • You’re a medium size rider. The SL tends toward a balance of stiff and light. For larger rides the SL can be super stiff, and for lighter riders we can design the frame to be super light. The SL is truly the chameleon of the Seven line.
  • You like to ride with your whole body. The SL’s nuanced responsiveness mean it’s a great bike to "body" around turns, becoming one with the rider in a real, physical sense.
  • You want to invest in a lifetime bike. The SL is a highly-personalized bike that comes at a modest premium. If you’re looking for a bike that reflects who you are as a rider, the SL is the right frameset for you.

Of course, since every Seven is fully customizable — including the Evergreen SL — we can amplify or play down any of the features we’ve listed. We can turn up the performance and specialize for racing, or we can soften things up and ready for bikepacking. With the Evergreen SL it’s all about refinement, balance, and personalization.

Why the Shimano Ultegra hydro mechanical group set?

  • Like our SL frames, Shimano’s Ultegra groups are industry standards. Their enduring quality, generation after generation, make them an easy go-to for high-end performance.
  • For hard riding traditionalist cyclists, Ultegra’s mechanical shifting will be familiar and nearly as accurate as Shimano’s electronic group sets.
  • Mechanical shifting is more serviceable and easier to maintain when you’re in remote areas and harsh conditions.
  • For average size riders, the lever ergonomics are spot-on.
  • Hydraulic disc brakes stop better, with better modulation, in all conditions.

Of course because Seven customizes everything, this bike is available with SRAM and Campagnolo group sets, too, or with a different Shimano kit, or a 1x drivetrain, or whatever you prefer. Just ask.

Evergreen SL XX with SRAM Force1 Hydraulic

Seven’s Evergreen SL XX represents the next step in titanium frame technology. We took our 20+ years experience with titanium and frame building techniques and aimed them at reducing the weight of our disc frames while simultaneously turning up the bike’s performance characteristics. The result is the lightest, high-performance titanium disc bike on or off-road. To get there, we evolved our double-butted SL frame with asymmetric dropouts and chainstays, using a custom, butted Ti seatpost with an internal binder, and modifying our standard flat mount brake adaptor. We looked inside the frame, too, more aggressively machining the bottom bracket shell, enlarging the frame’s internal breather holes and pushing our tube butting processes to their limits. Some frames are coming in as much as half-a-pound lighter than our already light SL models.

Read the full details of the XX upgrade.

Why is the Evergreen SL XX the right bike for me? Put this bike on your shortlist if:

  • You want to go fast. The SL XX’s main purpose is to deliver a bike at a weight competitive with the lightest disc bikes on the market, but with the added value of enhanced stiffness and other performance boosting characteristics.
  • You do a lot of long steady climbing. The XX’s lightweight ultra-butted tubing makes the process of long, rhythmic efforts more comfortable, letting you climb faster and arrive at the top fresher for the path ahead.
  • You like the perceived light weight of carbon but want a bike that’s going to last for many years to come. The XX is as light as the lightest plastic bike, but Seven’s titanium can take far more damage.
  • You’re looking for a dedicated gravel bike you won’t weigh down with added equipment or gear. Maybe you’re racing in today’s popular gravel events, or your regular group ride packs in as much dirt as possible. The XX upgrade makes any bike a purebred race bike.
  • You like to use body English. The XX is so light that’s it’s easy to make the bike do precisely what you want in any turn and any technical situation. You think, it performs.
  • You like to push the limits on your bike. The SL XX can be engineered for both maximum drivetrain stiffness and optimal traction, which makes leaning into turns and ducking and dodging through technical terrain a cinch.
  • You want to get ahead of the trends. The SL XX is currently the most technologically advanced gravel-specific bike on the market, with flat-mount disc brakes, 44mm headtube, rake-optimized gravel fork and the ability to integrate an oversized T47 bottom bracket, ultra-short chainstays and maximal tire clearance.
  • Budget is not an issue. You invest in the best, the first time around.

Of course, since every Seven is fully customizable — including the Evergreen SL XX — we can amplify or play down any of the features we’ve listed. We can make the bike into a punchy climber or an all-day rider. With the Evergreen SL XX, you tell us where you want it to shine.

Why the SRAM Force1 hydraulic disc group set?

  • Force1 is among the lightest, most durable component group on the market and helps us build a complete disc bike in the neighborhood of 16lbs.
  • 1x systems significantly simplify the riding experience, which can be key for high performance when all the rider’s energy is being dedicated to pedaling.
  • One less derailleur to adjust. One less component to break.
  • Hydraulic disc brakes stop better, with better modulation, in all conditions.

Of course because Seven customizes everything, this bike is available with Shimano and Campagnolo group sets, too, or with a different SRAM kit, or a 2x drivetrain, or whatever you prefer. Just ask.
