Our Benelux Distributor, Filip Sport, held their Third Annual Track Event in Ghent on January 17 and they forwarded us some terrific photos. Staged at the Vlaams Wielercentrum Eddy Merckx Indoor Velodrome, the venue features steep 44-degree banked turns that are not for the faint of heart.
We often field questions such as, “Can you make a titanium track frame stiff enough for the demands of the velodrome?” As these images demonstrate, the answer is an emphatic yes. The forces generated in track racing include hard accelerations, aggressive cornering, and high cadence sprints. Seven’s ability to select from hundreds of different tubeset combinations means we can create a machine that is as rigid and responsive as you want.
We can design any of our Titanium, Ti/ Carbon or Steel frames to be used on the track, including track specific features such as 120mm wheel spacing and track specific dropouts. Combined with custom geometry, handling and a tubeset tailored to your individual needs, the result is a track bike that embodies the pure power of velodrome racing.
