Account Executive

Account Executive Mission and Description

The Account Executive’s mission is to meet or exceed the sales, profit, and customer satisfaction targets each quarter in collaboration with our retailers and distributors, with the goal of making Seven the preferred supplier of bikes over $3,500.

The position is distribution channel focused, responsible for building and growing sales within a portfolio of accounts from our corporate headquarters in Watertown, MA. Travel includes selected retailer training and sales visits, trade show representation, and demo events. Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibilities within the company result from a track record of performance over time. The position utilizes a range of competencies and skills including strategic planning, account management, relationship management, setting and monitoring sales goals with distributors and retailers, market analysis, and sales to accounts worldwide.


  • Build mutually beneficial collaborative long-term business partnerships
  • Be assertive and self-directed in driving customer sales through a portfolio of retailer accounts
  • Utilize our in-house, custom CRM system to track and manage relationships with our retailers
  • Increase Seven’s market share in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Develop and execute innovative campaigns that energize retailers and their teams
  • Be knowledgeable in all aspects of Seven's sales, fit, fabrication, and service methodologies
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and retailer training

Performance Evaluation Metrics

  • Revenue, profit per retailer, and retailer satisfaction to target
  • Return on sales development expenditures relative to budget
  • Individual capabilities development
  • Work well within a team environment

Required Professional Background

  • Extensive experience working in the bicycling industry
  • Four years experience selling complex high-end technical products or services
  • Demonstrated success in growing end-user sales through a range of B2B distributors
  • Experience utilizing the Customer Centered Selling model or equivalent
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral skills
